Difference of non-coverage rates of basic vaccination for newborn in urban and remote areas of Indochina; what is its implication?

The vaccination is a basic primary preventive measure against infectious disease. In public health management, the basic vaccine should be provided to the local population aiming at primary prevention. For the newborn group, there are several vaccines that should be provided at birth. The national health policies in almost all countries around the world promote vaccination coverage for the local people. Nevertheless, the important problem is the non-coverage of basic vaccination. This problem can be seen in several areas around the world. In this article, the authors highlighted the difference of non-coverage rates of basic vaccinations for newborns in urban and remote areas of Indochina. Based on the available data, there is an interesting observation on difference of non-coverage rate of different basic vaccines required for the newborn. The discussion regarding this observation is presented in the present report.
