Abstract


Osteoarthritis is a common joint problem. This problem is common among geriatric patients. In general practice, NSAIDS is widely used for relief of joint pain symptoms of the patients. The adverse effects due to long-term use of NSAIDS is an important concern.  Here, the authors reports on the effect of switching therapy from NSAIDS to modern Thai traditional medicine drug, Derris scandens (Roxb.) Benth. It can show that the modern Thai traditional medicine drug, Derris scandens (Roxb.) Benth can be well used for manage of joint pain problem among the patients with osteoarthritis.
